Wait time costs are paid 5 minutes after arriving at the rider’s pickup point for a Yeyo journey. You will also be compensated for the time spent waiting at long stops; for example, the grace period for a Yeyo trip is 5 minutes.
When you arrive at the rider’s stop during a trip, a timer will begin in your app. When the timer runs out after 5 minutes, we will start a fresh time counter and charge the rider an additional fee for the extra minutes they wait. However, if the travel resumes before the timer runs out, no stop fee will be levied.
The wait time fee threshold and/or fee per minute differ based on the product type and whether the trip is surging or not.
These wait time fees will appear on your trip receipt at the end of the trip.
You should remind your rider to update their app with their destination and number of stops throughout the route to guarantee you get compensated for your time. If the stops in the app are not updated, the wait time fees will not apply.
If you or the rider cancel, you will not receive any accrued wait time costs; however, you may be eligible for a cancellation fee.
